It’s Pancake Day! Is Your Kitchen Ready?

It’s Shrove Tuesday, otherwise known as Pancake Day – the day when we all head to our kitchens and make fluffy pancakes in our last binge before Lent. We all know that pancake-making can get a bit messy, so it’s best to have your kitchen prepared before you get started. A great way to protect your kitchen walls from the perils of the pancake is to invest in splashbacks – and the best thing is, they can be quite stylish too.

glass splashbacks
Glass splashbacks look perfect in any kitchen. They go exceptionally well with stone worktops, and you can choose a glass splashback in almost any colour so you can make a statement. The splashbacks in this kitchen make a bold statement and are the star of the show. If you’re more into subtle style, you could match the splashback to your walls so your worktops stand out the most. What’s more, the best thing about glass is that it cleans really easily, so it won’t be difficult to get that rogue pancake batter off the wall.

Tiled splashbacks

Tiled splashbacks can give a retro feel to your kitchen, and can look great with bold-coloured appliances. The kitchen shown here looks brilliant with its grey tiles and sleek metallic features, before making a huge statement with the bright red cupboards and drawers.

Dare to be different

If you’re the adventurous type, why not think outside of the box? Go for metallic splashbacks made from copper- or bronze-coloured tiles to really show off, or what about patterned acrylic?

Whatever style of splashback you decide to go for, just ensure that it’s easy to clean, especially on Pancake Day, so you can spend more time eating and less time doing chores. There are plenty of kitchen companies in our database that will be more than happy to assist you with your new splashbacks.
